First Legislative Status Update Meeting Held (Tuesday, April 28, 2015)

The Guam Legislature (Liheslaturan Guahan) held the first Status Update meeting for the Hagåtña Master Plan on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Guam Legislature building at 155 Hester Place in Hagåtña.

At this meeting, the various Senators of Guam that make up the Legislature had the opportunity to learn about the Master Plan process and were provided with an opportunity to ask questions and provide their input into the development of the plan.

The Hagåtña Master Plan update will include all of the topics (called "elements") that are covered in the current 1967 Master Plan (such as Land Use, Circulation, and Public Facilities and Buildings), as well as the various topics entailed within the draft 2005 Hagåtña Master Plan.

In order to develop a plan that is responsive to local needs, input from the community is essential. This Status Update meeting was the first of several that will be held during the update process.
